Internet Business Marketing Ideas for Small Businesses

I was browsing a few websites the other day when I came across a site that was holding a contest. The contest was for best website design and there were about 10 different categories. Everything from strict CSS to blogs and even best forum design.

The point is that the winners in each category got something from the company that was sponsoring that category. Some of the categories were sponsored by a company that gave them $20.07 (for the year 2007) through PayPal.

$20 to sponsor a contest and get a link on a page is pretty cheap. This contest ended up getting some magazine and newspaper coverage, and one newspaper even listed all the sponsors!

So now that $20 bought a link, potential clients, a unique marketing opportunity and a newspaper article, can’t beat that for what you would pay for some lunch!
