The Real Estate industry has a variety of awards they give out on a regular basis. Everything from Salesperson Of The Year and Salesperson Of The Month to President’s Awards and REALTOR® Of The Year award.
Should you put all of these awards on your business card? Should you just list the awards in text that you have received?
I would venture to say that it is a good idea to have your most prestigious and recognizable award and nothing else.
When you have one award that says “National” or something similar it shows that you are a good salesperson.
When you have 3 awards they all say the same thing to your client, “I win awards.” Unfortunately your client doesn’t care about your awards.
You client wants to know that you are professional (1 award tells them that) and that you are looking out for them.
Multiple awards sound like bragging and make me think that the award is the number one priority.
Stick with one award and don’t forget a picture of yourself on the card!
